Direct Primary Care is a healthcare model focused on putting the patient first. That means treating them when they need it (evenings and weekends included), never rushing patients through appointments, and being proactive with healthcare treatment plans. The doctor-patient relationship is just as the name suggests – direct. Patients can contact their doctor directly via phone, text, email, or video chat 24/7. Direct Primary Care clinics don’t accept insurance, rather they choose to work directly with the patient, providing wholesale labs, deeply discounted prescription prices, and other costs savings along the way.

The terms are often used interchangeably and essentially refer to the same principles. Concierge medicine is an umbrella term for medical practices that seek to get rid of the interference of insurance by which most other traditional practices are restricted. Direct primary care is the most common, most accessible, and most affordable form of concierge medicine.

Yes. We recommend our patients obtain a major medical plan with a high deductible coupled with a health savings account, or alternatively, join a health sharing ministry, to ensure financial help should hospitalization or referral to a specialist be necessary. We’re happy to refer you to insurance representatives who can help customize an insurance plan to your specific needs.
Yes! Dr. Sudduth has completed the opt-out process, so he can accept Medicare enrollees as patients. However, please keep in mind that Medicare will not pay the monthly membership fee, so that cost will be out-of-pocket. Medicare Part B may be used to pay for labs, imaging, and other diagnostic services that we refer patients out for.
By providing superb primary care services – including treatment and monitoring of chronic conditions, preventive screenings, and overall health maintenance, we seek to reduce the need for hospitalizations and specialty referrals. If those services are needed and you have a wraparound health insurance policy, you would be able to use it. We are also constantly working to provide our patients with additional options.
We have a relationship with Tulsa ER and Hospital, which has direct-pay pricing available, and we round on patients admitted to that facility. If you choose to go to another hospital, we will work with your hospitalist during your hospital stay, as well as work closely with any specialist you may require. In some cases, depending on the level of care and the sorts of expertise required, we may rely on those specialized caregivers to manage your treatment.
We are also building a network of specialists who will provide services on a discounted, direct-pay (i.e. no insurance) basis. Like us, they are committed to price transparency and simplifying the patient experience. If specialist or hospital services are needed, we will review your options with you and proceed with what makes the most sense for you.
Absolutely! We know illness and injury are not limited to regular office hours. That's why our doctors are available to their patients directly via phone, text, email, or video chat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If necessary, we can arrange for a home visit, schedule permitting.

This is yet another advantage to the direct primary care model. Because we know you well, we can help you when you’re away from home and become sick, saving you an expensive trip to an urgent care or the emergency room. Many illnesses can be diagnosed and treatment determined via a simple conversation by phone, text, email, or video chat. We can then locate the nearest pharmacy and order the medications you need or have them shipped to you from our partner pharmacy.
If an in-person visit is warranted, we will reach out to a local DPC practice if there is one near you, and arrange a visit with one of their doctors.
We maintain scrupulous standards of privacy. Because there is no third-party (e.g. an insurance company) involved in your care at our clinic, we are never obligated to provide any third party with a copy of your records unless you specifically ask that we do so.
